Our History
Lawrence Kidd fulfilled a dream when he founded the original Manorhouse Furniture on Quinpool Road in 1971. It was a pivotal time in his life marked by his ambition to create a business known for its quality merchandise and exceptional client service.Just one year later, Manorhouse moved from its humble 700 sq. ft. showroom to a 9,000 sq. ft. building at 6210 Quinpool. And then in 1986, Manorhouse moved to its current home at 600 Bedford Highway with 20,000 sq. ft. of showroom space and a 12,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
Since the beginning, a number of Kidd family members have worked alongside their father and grandfather, watching and learning from him. Manorhouse a true family legacy that we proudly carry on, 45 years later.
